The researchers Maria-Christina Nika and Jessica Subirats have been awarded Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF). They will join the Environmental Pollution and Agriculture group at IDAEA in April:
- EnviBrain: Characterization of Diffuse Glioma tumors’ chemical exposome and potential positive associations with environmental pollution through air particulate matter analysis and wastewater-based epidemiology.
Researcher: Maria-Christina Nika. IDAEA PI: Pablo Gago-Ferrero - RESISPORE: Composting as a post-treatment method to mitigate the transfer of antimicrobial resistance and spore-forming Firmicute into the food chain.

Since January 2020, IDAEA has presented as coordinator/beneficiary 125 European proposals with a 29% and 19% ratio success by number and total budget awarded.
From 2018 to January 2022, IDAEA has participated in and coordinated more than 40 European projects (27 and 13 respectively) for a total of more than 17M€ funding: 3 H2020 Green Deal; 1 HE-ERC-SyG (KARST); 1 EIC-H2020; 2 Societal Challenges-H2020; 4 LIFE2019-2020; 2 LIFE2021-2024; 2 HE- CL1 Health (one of them is the Partnership for the Assessment of Risks from Chemicals PARC where IDAEA is Grant Signatory); 2 HE-CL5 Mobility; 1 EIT-Raw Materials; 1 INFRA-HE; 3 HE-WIDERA.
Since 2017 (still ongoing), IDAEA has been involved in 4 H2020-MSCA-ITN-H2020; 1 H2020-MSCA-RISE, 5 H2020-MSCA-IF, and 2 HE-MSCA-PF-2021 with a total of 2,9M€.
