Drug omsumption is a complex, hidden and stigmatized behavior that is difficult to quantify. The analysis of wastewater for the determination of products of human metabolic excretion (Epidemiology of Wastewater) can offer objective real-time data on geographical and temporal patterns of substance abuse and, combined and integrated with other established methods, can offer an image more clear about this problem.
The aim of this whorkshop is the exposition of abuse of drugs and other substances consumption, indicators and measurement methods, presentation of the current research in the field of the Epidemiology of Wastewater and exchange of knowledge of different disciplines.
