The Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC) participated in the 100xCiencia.6 meeting: Science for the future. Building a fairer and more sustainable horizon, held on November 3 and 4 in Palau Pedralbes and co-organized by the SOMMa alliance and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS), which brought together more than 200 attendees representing the 59 centers that make up the alliance.

The IDAEA’s director Teresa Moreno, together with the CID manager Lluís Fajarí, and the managers of the Communication Department and the EU Office (Alicia Arroyo and Mercè Ratera, respectively) attended the meeting and engage with other members from the SOMM alliance in their respective working areas. The IDAEA researcher Ethel Eljarrat, from the Environmental and Water Chemistry for Human Health (ONHEALTH) group, was one of the participants in the round table ‘Climate crisis and sustainable development.

“SOMMa is marking a reference pathway for the research community and its role is essential to continue improving the scientific ecosystem of our country”, declared Raquel Yotti, Secretary-General for Research of the Minisitry of Science and Innovation, during the meeting.
