The EGAR researcher Fulvio Amato and the IDAEA-CSIC director Teresa Moreno welcome authors to submit their articles to special issues on non-exhaust emissions for the journal Atmospheric Environment X
This Special Issue aims at collecting the most updated scientific evidence on laboratory and real-world effectiveness of technological and non-technological measures to reduce non-exhaust emissions, both outdoor and indoor (subway systems).
They encourage scientists to propose submissions of papers on the following topics:
- Technological solutions to reduce NEE emissions including manufacturing of vehicles and its components, retrofit solutions, changes in chemical composition and texture, coating and treatments, application of dust suppressants, Driver Assistance Systems etc.
- Non-technological measures to mitigate NEE emissions including fiscal policies, traffic flow management, emission charging etc.
- Ventilation settings and changes in platform design for improving air quality in the subway environment.
