Three PhD researchers from the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC) were awarded at the 18th International Conference on Chemistry and the Environment, organized by the European Chemical Society and held in Venice from 11 to 15 June 2023.

The awarded researchers are:

  • Clara Jaén Flo (Geochemistry and Pollution), for her poster “Diurnal source apportionment of organic and inorganic atmospheric PM at a high-altitude mountain site under summer conditions (Sierra Nevada; Spain)
  • Ana Torres Agulló (EGAR), for her poster “Optimization and application of a pyrolysis-GC-Orbitrap method for the identification and quantification of microplastics in air
  • Giuseppina Zuri (Chemometrics for Environmental Omics), who received the “Ph.D. Students and young Post-docs” award for her oral communication “Airborne Microplastics In Outdoor And Indoor Environments
